PPOL 400. Ethics in Public Policy.

This course is a study of ethics and ethical issues as they pertain to American public policy. Fundamental ethical questions will be examined along with several major ethical theories and professional codes of conduct. These theories will be applied to ethical dilemmas that arise in a variety of public policy arenas. Through the application of theory to practical case studies, students will acquire the ability to recognize ethical issues in public policy and think ethically using a variety of intellectual frameworks within the parameters set by government agencies and non-profit organizations.
