Analysis of contemporary problems and issues of public concern relating to food, agriculture, and rural areas using the tools of fundamental economic concepts. Farm income, food prices, world food problems, natural resources, environment, and rural development issues will be studied. This course satisfies area studies-social and behavioral sciences for general education. Equates with IST 204.
