VET 257. Concepts of Large Animal Diseases I.
Prerequisites: "C" or better in VET 213, VET 218, and VET 245. Corequisite: VET 261. This foundational course will teach technicians the methodology for studying disease pathophysiology and technical skills for diagnosis and treatment of large animal patients. Students are given foundational health and disease lectures and case scenarios with realistic client historical information. The student is expected to research each learning issue and report to the class their findings. The students are evaluated on their level of knowledge about the disease process, their participation in clinical discussions, and the focus of their methodology for determining appropriate diagnostic testing.
