Prerequisite: successful completion of the first two semesters of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Corequisites: BIOL 217, BIOL 217L, Humanities Elective. This is the first course in the second year of the ADNP. The course builds on concepts and practice from the first year. Emphasis is on the use of the nursing process to address chronic alterations in health of individuals across the lifespan. Students develop theoretical and clinical competency while caring for chronically ill patients.
