MUST 132. Music Theory II.

Prerequisite: MUST 131. Corequisite: MUST 135. A continuation of MUST 131, with emphasis on diatonic triads and seventh chords in inversion, non-chord tones, cadences, and part-writing in SATB style. Standard formal structures will be studied. Melodic and rhythmic concepts will also be emphasized, and representative aural skills, analysis projects, and keyboard exercises will be included.
