Prerequisite: HIS 250. Corequisites: admission to TEP, HIS 451, completion of all general education requirements and 24 of the required 27 hours of 300-level course work. Analysis of contemporary strategies and methods for secondary social studies instruction. Course will emphasize KDE standards and education reform. Teaching portfolio initiated with 15 field hours spent in collaboration with a secondary teacher. At least three field hours will be spent in whole class instruction. Credits are not applied to history major or minor. This course satisfies the integrative component requirement for general education.
