Prerequisite for all students). An explanation and evaluation of materials and methods of teaching the advanced reading skills in grades 5-9. The students are taught how to teach the skills needed for comprehension, study skills, and content area reading. Assessment and interpretation of reading abilities will be utilized to design classroom instruction. Field experiences in grades 5-9 are an integral part of this course.
