A course in biology for students to gain competency for BIOL 171. Emphasis is placed on establishing a foundation in molecular, cellular, and biochemical aspects of biology. Not accepted as credit toward the department's majors, minors, or areas of concentration. This course satisfies the area studies-natural and mathematical sciences for general education.
