EDSP 610 Foundations of Effective Practice in Special Education.

Prerequisite: EDSP 601, EDEL 627, and EDUC 618 or equivalent courses. Corequisite: EDSP 614 or EDSP 616. This course provides the foundation of skills needed to design, manage, and deliver effective instruction to students with disabilities. This course is made up of the following three credit modules: 1) Applied behavior analysis, 2) Specially designed instruction, and 3) Assessment. The academic record of incoming candidates with prior special education preparation will be evaluated to determine which modules will be required.
