This course focuses on understanding the community college student in depth. While examining various college student development theories, community college student development is compared with that of four-year and other postsecondary education institutions to foster a socio-cultural and socioeconomic understanding of the community college makeup and produce service, administrative, and teaching professionals more responsive to community college student needs.
